The Brief:
The Highline Canal Conservancy is an organization that is refurbishing and bringing to life the canal trail that runs through Denver all the way to the foothills. They wanted to use some large Cottonwood logs that they had felled from their trail. I proposed several log benches and play structures to place along the trail. We ended up creating two large benches and two chairs to start. This project will probably progress in the future as they continue their conservancy.
Fabrication Drawings:
Our plan for how to put these giant logs together. We ended up hiring a subcontractor to slice the logs in half with a log mizer, and then we re-assembled the parts with steel posts and epoxy.
